Not Into Politics?

These days, politics and political parties can just turn people off. What does it mean to be a Republican or a Democrat?

In general, Republicans believe that the government should have limited power over businesses and personal freedoms. Democrats take the opposite stand, believing that businesses need government regulations to protect workers and the environment and that some individual freedoms infringe on the rights of others.

You can read the 2020 Missouri Republican Party Platform here and the Democratic Party Platform here
In practice, the best policies that benefit the most people lie somewhere in the middle of the two main parties.
